[URGENT] Cat is shy

I just bought home a kitten! She is very shy and scared of me. What should I do?

Is she a stray? It's expected that an animal that gets introduced to a completely new environment will be quite reserved and defensive in the beginning. And if she's a stray, it's very likely she hasn't had much human contact before you so don't worry if she doesn't trust you yet. Give her some time and respect her if she wants to be alone.

Provide her with an area of her own, somewhere that she can retreat to without being disturbed by humans or other animals.

She's started exploring and playing now. The biggest problem is when she see gaps, she will try to get in.

Cats are curious animal..maybe she's just wanna explore what's in there. my cats always do that coz they always think there are lizards inside..LOL!

She will try to squeeze in even the gap is as tiny as a door gap! It's ok now, she doesn't do that anymore. I think has already warm up with me (that's fast.. less than 2 days! LOL) But she's now jumping all over the place and making everything in a mess!

it is important to mess your gate and window when having a cat in the house. if not, window must be close at all times. Many cases of cat falling from window and died =(
